My Colt 1903

This is probably the first of the really successful, commercially that is, of John Moses Brownings Pistol designs. In this design you can see how the groundwork is now laid down for the greatest of Semi-Auto's of all time, the 1911. This is the Model 1903 Hammerless and the serial number would almost certainly put it in the first year of production. This is a particularly nice example and is unmolested. In the flesh you can see that some of the details like the slide lock and trigger are heat blued and are iridescent :

As you can see, this is the hammerless or "pocket" model and is in .32 ACP
