My new bench rest arrives!

This new bench rest was waiting for me when I got home from work today

Its quite light in weight but very stable. The flat extension rest at the rear is to rest your hands on if using a two handed hold - for recoiling pistols

Shooting a recoiling springer off one of these will take a bit of getting used to as the POI is way different to unsupported!

Overall I think that its a good bit of kit - I should be able to shoot for hours without fatigue using this. It also adds variety to garage target shooting!

Looks very good Ian.

Mine also arrived today, but haven't had a chance to take any pictures yet.

Just for variety,  I went for >this one<

It's quite compact and light, and I have already tried my Falcon on it.

Alas, it is easy to rest the gun as shown in the picture if ones concentration lapses, which is against the rules; there can only be one point of contact between the gun and rest.

There are, however, two solutions:-

1 - Wind the rest height up;
2 -  Turn the stand around and shoot front to back.;

I look forward to giving it a go over the weekend.

Kind regards,

Phil

It looks good Phil

Mine is wound all of the way up and this is fine with some pistols but not others as its very difficult to avoid the grip touching the shelf - fortunately its removeable!

Looking forward to hearing how you get on with yours
