The last Production run of the barrel cocking Webley air pistols.
The Tempest Finale will be the last of these air pistols manufactured with a production run of 600 in .177 and a further run of 600 in .22 priced at around £250-00 each.
Quality appears to be quite poor from the photograph on their site.
I was going to purchase one in each calibre but after looking at the photograph I won't bother.
Last Production of Webley Tempest
Re: Last Production of Webley Tempest
Hello,
I have original examples of the Tempest in both calibres together with two later Turkish pistols also in both calibres. I think I paid £160 for the later Tempests, so £250 sounds high, unless it's down to the limited and final production run.
I have to say that there isn't much difference in build quality and both sets produce similar performance and accuracy with the .177 calibre being the best for informal target shooting. I also separately bought one of the nice cases these Turkish pistols originally came with which now houses one of my Seniors and accessories.

Re: Last Production of Webley Tempest
I purchased one of the last of the W&S tempests in Jan 2006 which remains in unfired condition and I think I will leave it at that.
Re: Last Production of Webley Tempest
Probably very wise. I purchased the Turkish Tempests on a bit of a whim just to see how they compared with the British models. I ended up fitting some nice wooden grips to the these pistols and shoot the .177 fairly often with no problems. The 'Brummie' pistols remain in their cardboard packaging and see little use.

I have checked the W&S website, but was unable to find anything there regarding the Tempest Finale.

It appears that Webley have taken it down from their site
